CABIN FEVER COLLECTION
The iconic A-frame cabin symbolizes luxury, leisure, and the desire to escape, yet utopian dreams often remain unrealized. This powerful trope—found in politics, art, and consumerism—highlights the limitations of our world. Through painting, I explore the faded idealism of utopian visions and our attempts to control Nature, reimagining architectural and Shangri-La motifs to breathe new life into abandoned desires.
Utopian art, grounded in modernist ideals, offers visionary models of transformation without the dystopian consequences of actualizing them. In my landscapes, I express faith in humanity’s emerging ability to coexist with a living planet, capturing its fragile vibrancy. My paintings challenge spatial norms, using graphic, textural, and atmospheric elements to explore hope, optimism, and the potential for a better world. As a landscape painter, I create visionary fiction.
